Who we are

This website is operated by xAverage Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India and operating from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here, and you are the data principal — the person the data is about.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the xaverage.com website and the forms on it. Our products live on their own domains with their own privacy policies — wtn.live, for example — and each product’s policy applies from the moment you arrive there.

The data we collect, and why

There are no accounts here and no payments. You stay anonymous unless you choose to write to us. What we process, itemised:

• Your e-mail address, when you ask to hear from us — used only to send you what you asked for, confirmed by a code so nobody can sign you up without your knowledge.
• Your enquiry — name, e-mail address, an optional phone number, subject and message — used to read it, track it as a numbered reference so nothing is lost if you write more than once, and reply to you. We may also use your contact details to tell you about our own products and what we are building next. You can ask us to stop at any time, and we will.
• Standard access records, created automatically when any page is served — such as your network address and the page requested — used to keep the site running, fast, and safe from abuse.
• Approximate location and how you reached us — the country, state and city your network address indicates, and the site or campaign you arrived from. We work this out from the request itself and stored as the place, not as your network address, so nothing is asked of you and nothing about you is identified. It helps us understand where interest is coming from and which of our efforts are worth continuing.
• A small preference your own browser keeps (for example, your choice of light or dark theme), used to show the site the way you set it. It identifies nobody, and you can clear it from your browser at any time.

We keep our operational records deliberately lean: where a purpose can be served with less — a domain instead of an address, a length instead of a message — we record less. Please share only what the conversation needs, and only data that is yours to share.

Measurement

To understand how the site performs and is used, we may run a measurement tool configured for coarse, aggregate insight — pages viewed, where visitors come from, what works. When one is active, a small script runs in your browser to report the page you are on. It sets no cookies. It does keep a small amount of information in your browser’s own local storage, so that several pages read in one sitting are counted as one visit rather than several — nothing in it names you, and you can clear it from your browser at any time. It does not record what you do on the page, and it does not follow you to other sites. We serve it from our own domain, and it operates under this policy and on our instructions.

Consent and your choices

What you send us through a form, you send on purpose, and that is the consent we rely on. You can withdraw it whenever you like by writing to query@xaverage.com — we will remove your details from our lists and confirm. Withdrawal is as easy as the original consent: one e-mail. It does not affect what was lawfully done before you withdrew.

Who helps us handle it

We use a small number of specialist providers who process data on our instructions — for example, to deliver e-mail and to protect the forms against automated abuse. On pages with a form, the abuse-protection check may load from its provider’s own domain and receive technical signals such as your network address; it never receives what you type. Beyond providers working on our instructions, we share personal data only where the law requires it or where we take professional advice under a duty of confidence.

We do not sell personal data.

Where it lives, and for how long

The site runs on infrastructure we operate. Some providers may process data outside India; where that happens, the transfer is made under the DPDP framework’s provisions. We keep personal data only as long as its purpose needs:

• Technical records — access logs, error traces and event records used to run and secure the site — are deleted shortly after they have served that purpose.
• Enquiries and the details you send with them are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to deal with you — a conversation can resume long after it paused, and a record of it may sit in our mail, our support tools or our business records. We do not put a fixed period on this. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you and ask us to erase it, and we will, unless a law requires us to keep it.
• Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. The forms are rate-limited and size-capped, the systems behind them follow least-access principles, and access to the enquiry inbox is limited to the people who need it. If personal data we hold were affected by a breach, we would notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us, at any time, to:

• tell you what personal data of yours we hold and how it has been used;
• correct or complete anything that is wrong or out of date;
• erase what we hold, where no legal duty requires us to keep it;
• hear and resolve a grievance; and
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to query@xaverage.com — it reaches the person responsible for grievances, and we will respond within the time the law allows. We may first check that a request really comes from you. If our answer does not satisfy you, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Visitors outside India

This site is operated from India under Indian law. If you are elsewhere, we will honour a request about your data on the same terms as anyone else’s — just write to us.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and the adults acting for them, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When our practices change, we update this page first and move the version and date at the top. If a change is significant and we hold your e-mail address, we will tell you directly.
